Helping
Kids Cope with Terrorism
David Walsh, Ph.D.
On
September 11, TPT produced and aired a live program, TALKING
WITH KIDS ABOUT TERRORISM AND VIOLENCE, in which Dr. Walsh shared
advice and counsel with concerned parents. Public television stations
across the nation have aired the program many times since that date.
In this update and follow-up to the original discussion with parents,
Dr. Walsh and program co-host Cathy Wurzer will again speak with
parents, to see how their children's emotions and behavior have
evolved in the weeks since September 11.
Dr.
Walsh will advise parents on things to look for now and in the future,
as well as sharing important tips parents can use to help kids deal
with their emotions. Guests will include parents of children in
every age group and Egyptian-born parents. As with the previous
program, HELPING KIDS COPE WITH TERRORISM will provide information
to address the specific needs of kids in each age group.
HELPING
KIDS COPE WITH TERRORISM is funded by Lifetouch, photography for
a lifetime. Serving schools and families since 1936, Lifetouch is
the largest employee-owned photography company in the world.
