About Mr. Fluffy |
Mr. Fluffy was the bullfrog who starred in the lively schoolroom scene in Bring Warm Clothes which illustrated the letter by the Missionary/School Teacher Daniel Fisher. His gripping performance has made him something of a celebrity to the KTCA staff. Now that the program has aired, we're sure that there are many more fans out there, like yourself, who'd like to get an update on our beloved little green friend. Where is Mr. Fluffy now:
John Lightfoot, the associate producer of Bring Warm Clothes, has Mr. Fluffy in a spacious 20 gallon aquarium (luxurious condo size for a frog). He has about 4 inches of room temperature water and lovely colored pebbles on the bottom. he also has a big rock with a large hole in the middle for entertainment.
How did he get his name:
Mr. Fluffy is not a totally original name. In fact, his namesake was an alligator that lived in Minneapolis. The original Mr. Fluffy got to be about 4 feet long and a bit too big for Mark's apartment tub. So Mr. Fluffy #1 went to live happily at Gatorworld in Kississimee Florida. The present Mr. Fluffy will probably not get much larger than 8 inches. He will not have to go to Florida and will continue to reside in the warm home of Mr. Lightfoot.
What does Mr. Fluffy eat and how often:
Mr. Fluffy's favorite meal consists of live crickets. He goes into a state of frog happiness (observe his wide eyes and dialated pupils) and sits rock still until the crickets get close. Then zap...his tongue has zipped out and gotten his tasty tibit.
He eats about a bunch of crickets twice a week.
What makes Mr. Fluffy happy:
Warm water in his condo;
lively crickets when he's hungry;
anything else is hard to tell.
How do you know if a frog is a Mr. or Ms. Fluffy:
We don't know...except he rivets and we understand that to be a song to impress a girl frog.
