This production takes viewers down one of Minneapolis' most historically significant streets - the east-west stretch from the Mississippi River to Lake Calhoun known as Lake Street. Driven by stylized narration, the special unfolds along the route of the area's 21A bus line, stopping to reveal stories of both community revitalization and urban blight. The program examines the roadway's connections to Minnesota history, commerce and immigration.
